Please describe your project in more detail.

We will partner with the National Park Service to provide an opportunity to take 35 disadvantaged children and youth from one of Richmond, California's toughest, inner-city neighborhoods to Yosemite National Park and Muir Woods.

Additionally, we will partner with NPS and East Bay Regional Parks to provide 50 local children and youth with multiple opportunities to visit city, regional and national parks. There, they will engage in meaningful, stimulating, hands-on outdoor experiences with the natural world that are designed to encourage and enable them to deepen their understanding of nature and to raise their awareness of how parks can contribute to their physical, mental, and spiritual health.
