Please describe your project in more detail.

We will be taking at least five trips to Golden Gate National National Recreational Area and a separate overnight trip to Slide Ranch to engage youth in a land stewardship and nutritional education program. We will also be taking youth on the Crissy Field Center's Camping at the Presidio program to engage them in the basic skills of camping and land stewardship. We will embark on two mountain biking trips in the Marin Headlands and Tennessee Valley with Trips for Kids, a nonprofit leading mountain bike trips for local youth groups, and an overnight trip to Point Reyes National Seashore at the Point Reyes Hostel and/or camping at coastal camp. Finally, we will backpack in Yosemite National Park to increase National Park engagement and teach kids about the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir.

All trips will be lead by trained staff and volunteers and engage 30-50 individuals living in low-income housing.

How many kids (grades K-8) will be directly engaged in this project?
