Please describe your project in more detail.

**Project requested funding raised to put towards project.

The National Park Service, BLM-Utah partners up with Latinos In Action (LIA) and outdoor leadership school SPLORE to provide outdoor adventures for urban youth. In 2016, Latino high schoolers will explore Utah parks and public lands through rock climbing, river rafting, hiking and camping. A videographer will be on hand to film camp, and campers will utilize the "kid card" and incorporate into the video. A University of Utah Urban Ranger (funded through the NPS Challenge Cost Share program) will mentor a LIA intern and present to local 4th graders about the Camp LIA experience. Funding will be used for intern stipends, camp equipment, social media, meals, water and transportation. The campers will visit Arches and Canyonloands Parks near Moab, UT during a multi-day camping trip. Other outdoor adventures are scheduled 1x month throughout spring and summer and take place in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Uintah National Forest, and the Draper Climbing Wall. Camp LIA 2016 will kick off on February 22 with a rock-climbing excursion.
