Please describe your project in more detail.

We hope to engage 4th graders in an overnight camping and rock climbing experience in Joshua Tree National Park. This will be an aspect of our project exploring the question, "Why is it important to protect the places where we play?" In addition, we hope to connect students to their local environments through hiking and tidepooling programs in our local National Monument in Point Loma. Our hope is that students will have the opportunity to experience a number of the environments Southern California has to offer.

We needs your support to help cover costs of transportation, food, equipment and supervision. With your help, we can connect all of our 4th graders to the transformative power of the outdoors!!
